S-Ultra 21

The world's fastest SAN for OpenStack

S-Ultra 21 has been designed from scratch for close integration with OpenStack.

It is based on the NVME and NVME-oF standards and combines the best of two worlds - ceph storage clusters and high-end proprietary SAN technology.

The ultra-high performance tier scales to more than 40,000,000 IOPS. In addition, you may increase cluster size into the range of 10th of Petabytes and also add an archiving/backup tier with our auto-tiering function

We support all common SAN features and particularly those important for OpenStack integration, such as RAID, end-to-end data integrity, volume resizingsnapshots, data compression, data encryptionthin provisioning and more.

Product use cases include high-performance applications in addition to typical mixed Enterprise workloads of a SAN.

Main Benefits

Ultimate Performance

Fastest off-the-shelf, high-end storage system with a total cluster performance of up to more than 40,000,000 IOPS, in the PetaByte range.

Smooth Integration

Out-of-the-box integration with features such as snapshots of virtual machine images, instances and disks, multi-attachment of volumes for virtual disks, volume extension, replication and migration, thin provisioning, encryption, compression, end to end data integrity and backups .

Low TCO Costs

The total cost of ownership (TCO) per IOPS is 10 times and more lower than that of other high-end storage systems.

Efficient

deployment

model

Benefit from the advantages of a cloud solution - no investments, fast deployment and easy scalability, no dependency from internal experts - but without its disadvantages: Co-location of dedicated hardware with existing systems for high-performance and high volume / low cost data exchange and improved compliance / security.
